About Us
At Brad's Auto Service, they take a slightly different approach to repairing your vehicle than most other facilities. You won't hear any sales pitches here. They don't attempt to "up-sell" services or products. They look at each vehicle that comes in, take into consideration mileage, use, and the individual needs and expectations of the customer. If you bring in a 15 year old car, with 200,000 miles on it because the brakes are bad, you won't receive a call detailing the myriad of problems that your car may have that are non-brake related. This is whats known as the up-sell, its a common marketing tool used by many garages to improve the dollar to ticket ratio in their business. If you want your vehicle thoroughly inspected while its in for a specific problem, feel free to ask, in most cases, Brad's Auto Service does this at no additional charge. What you won't see is a $1200 estimate on a car that you brought in for a $100 problem.
They only fix what is broken. Alot of repair facilities will recommend replacement of any part that looks old if its related to repair they are making. This is not necessary if there is no obvious problem with the part in question. If there is a problem with your car that can be fixed without purchase of expensive new parts, they will always attempt to repair whats there, without the additional parts expense.
You won't see advertisements offering "to good to be true" prices either. If you have been sucked into the "$39.95 brake special" or the "$12.00 oil change", you have already experienced what marketing professionals call a "loss-leader". Its a marketing tool designed to entice you to bring in your car for a really "special" deal, and after you're there, you get an estimate for alot of extras that you may or may not need. At Brad's Auto, they charge a fair price for every service, and make enough profit on each service that they don't have to try to sell you things to make up a loss on a promotion.
Honesty and openness are hallmarks of a trustworthy business. If you want to know what kind of parts are being installed on your car, ask. If you want to know how long the warranty is, its printed right on the receipt. If you want a more detailed explanation of any charge, ask one of the qualified service writers or Brad himself. They will be more than happy to answer any questions.
